OregonFlora Cemetery | | On our travels through a back route in Oregon, we came upon the town of Flora. The first thing we saw of Flora was the cemetery, which seemed fitting once we drove on and found that Flora was mostly a ghost town, with only a few houses still occupied. This is one of our most vivid memories of Oregon because it was so eerie. There were abandoned houses and cars, and a couple of run-down old stores with late 1800's architecture that were no longer in use. Yet the fact that there were still a few people living there made the whole thing seem rather weird. |
