November 8, 2006: sausage report 2006 |
appears we had a small turnout for the festival this year, but a greater level of experimentation. for my personal festival i had a single sausage which i've spent the last week eating piece by piece (as opposed to the more traditional and halitosis inducing 24 hour method.)
- eggs 'n' fried sausage parts - sausage cheese tortilla - cheese on sausage chunks - just plain old sausage chunks - macs-n-sausage-bits
sorry, folks, no photos this year. maybe next year! |
Leave a comment (or else I'll shave all the hair off your cats, dogs, goats, and fish.) |

I think this be a prime weekend for the festival? What do ya say?
Lake City has already got over 15 inches of snow, so I figure that summer is on the way out, time to bring in the winter!! |

October 24, 2006: Weekend of Nov. 4th - write a 50k word novel in 48 hours |
From the www.nanowrimo.org site:
National Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.
Some of us from the Ludum Dare 48 hour game competition feel that the rules are a bit lax for our competitive natures. Instead, we've decided to try to write our 50,000 word novels in 48 hours. Don't think it can be done? Think again! At a mere 28 WPM you can write a 50,400 word novel in 30 hours of typing time!
Feel free to join us the weekend of Nov. 4th for the fun. (Participants can pick their own 48 hour time block, as long as it is during that weekend, roughly.) This sub-compo is being held in #ludumdare @ irc.afternet.org .. Hope to see you there! |

August 9, 2006: welcome to www.philhassey.com |
hey, i've opened up www.philhassey.com - Phil Hassey's Home Page .. the main purpose of this site was so I could waste a large portion of last weekend. I haven't really finished it, but the important stuff (wacky pictures of me) are there.
The main value of this site is to reform the lack of good pictures of me on the google image search. Right now when you search for phil hassey you get someone who is not me and a lot of pictures of my games. but no glamor shots of me.
vanity ensues for the grand opening of www.philhassey.com !!
Enjoy! |

June 6, 2006: Watermelonman Walks Abroad |
Though many people enjoy the juicy goodness of watermelons, few pay homage to Watermelonman. This is because (in spite of what he would have you believe) he has nothing to do with watermelons. He is stupid, and he smells of moldy spaghetti. I hate him. Nonetheless,

Dearest friends, family, and fans. I regret to inform you that this week's chiptune is being put on the shelf and held for a later time (aka. next week). This is so that I can get a week ahead with the tunes, insuring longer(probably), better quality (undoubtably), more in-depth (I guess), not to mention earth-shattering (most certainly) tunes in the future. In the mean time, keep a stiff upper chin, eat some pancakes, make applesauce, and send me cookies.
