_The_Lynch_ is a Smash Hit at NAiD '96 by Clueless / Nuclear Meltdown Productions MONTREAL - Ladies and gentlemen, I have bravely gone where no Nuclear Meltdown member has gone before - NAiD, to bring you this report on one of the better productions the party saw. Remember, this is completely unbiased reporting and the fact that I am the Gore (PR) Dude for Nuclear Meltdown Productions is entirely coincidental. We have all heard the age old saying to "save the best for last", and evidently the NAiD '96 organizers adhere to that saying, seeing as the 8th place demo _The_Lynch_ by Nuclear Meltdown Productions was the last official entry shown in any compo at the party. _The_Lynch_ is very plot-based, following the adventures of one American lamer and his subsequent shunning by the demoscene. I don't want to give away any more details than that, lest any of the surprise be spoiled. Since I can't tell any more about the demo, except the obvious fact that it rules, let's go to the crowd and see what they have to say. "It's very entertaining...", says Phoenix of Kosmic/Hornet fame. "The best demo ever!", raves Vector/Vertigo, winner of the NAiD '96 4k Intro and Best New FX compos. Sketch the Cow was quoted as saying, "I'm gonna vote for _The_Lynch_!" Joe Snow/Nuclear Meltdown had this to say after the results were in, "I can't believe we didn't win!". "Yeah, me too." said Clueless/Nuclear Meltdown. There you have it folks, the verdict is unanimous: _The_Lynch_ is great fun to watch, and at under 600k it's definitely worth the download time. You can find _The_Lynch_ at: ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/demos/incoming/NAID96/demo/nm_lynch.zip or on The Official Nuclear Meltdown Productions Home Page at: http://www.wpi.edu/~clueless/nmprod/nmprod.html Oh, and by the way, _The_Lynch_ uses the Midas Sound System, so it will work with any major sound card and it runs great on a 486. On a side note, Clueless/Nuclear Meltdown also entered the 4k Intro compo with the smallest production at all of NAiD '96. His intro is called Small, and is only 96 bytes. Find it as "nm_small.zip" at ftp.cdrom.com or the NM Home Page (see above). He also entered the Best New FX compo with The Mistake, which can be found as "nm_mistk.zip" at the same places as Small. This ends my NAiD '96 report, and remember to get your own copy of _The_Lynch_ today!
