I've almost got another release together!
One item that needed to be fixed was the mods dir. I'm going to include the "included" mods just where they are. But I'm up for setting up a secondary dir where users can put in downloaded mods, etc. This will be customizable via the options screen in the game.
Win32: mods (will default to the same dir as the installed mods dir, generally c:\program files\galcon\mods)
Linux: mods (will default to the same dir as the installe mods dir, whatever that is)
OSX: ~/Library/Galcon (a different dir than the install dir, because of how OSX installs work. This folder would be created automatically when you run Galcon.)
If any users of the above mentioned OS's have differing opinions than what I'm suggesting here, please speak forth before I go and release it :)

"../[User]/Library/Application Support/Galcon" (/mods?)
maybe even put the mods in a subdirectory of that Galcon directory? | | Re: Default mods dir... :: May 16, 2007 @ 10:12am |
