And a third mod!  Yup, I'm excited, too.  Again, this is very much a work in progress, but I wanted to share as soon as I could to get feedback and get a feel of what mods are most interesting to people.  This one was lots of fun to write, tinkering with the graphics and particle systems...

This also requires v1.2.1

--------------------
Details:

It was only a matter of time before a mod was released that included a large explosion. Well, I didn't want there to be a void, so thus Gnip_Nuke was born.

In this mod, each player begins the game with a number of, uh (wait for it...) nukes!  During the course of the game, these nukes can be fired by doing the following:

    * Select one and only one of your planets
    * Press the "N" key

The selected planet will then explode in a blaze of glory.  Ahhh... sweet destruction.  The planet that went nuclear and any nearby planets (regardless of who owns them) will be destroyed.  What happens when a planet is destroyed?

    * The planet immediately becomes a neutral planet
    * Any ships that were on the planet are now neutral
    * A percentage of the ships on the planet are destroyed
    * A bunch of quasi-pretty stuff is drawn on the screen (the best part)

Warning!  The bot logic has been modified so that it has nukes and knows how to use them.  Oh, and it is not afraid to use them (somewhat intelligently, I might add).  You've been warned.

As always, I'm open to feedback!  Post any feedback to the Galcon "Mod" forum.

FAQ:

Q: I am pressing the "N" key, but see no nuke!  What gives?
A: Either you have more than one planet selected, or you are out of nukes.  You can configure how many nukes you (*and* the bots) have on the initial options
screen.
