Reading this and being a noobie will make u very confused. And yes, these are my strategies, and many others strategies, so look and see if you can use these to beat the big shots around here.
P.S. These take forever to write, and there are so many situations i have to cover, so i'll try to write about 4 a week.
LESSON ONE - THE START
Your immediate goal is to find low defended planets and grab them as fast as possible. Since your grabbing planets that arent defended well, send a low percent. Right from the start ill send 50% from my home planet to a planet i can also pivot off of to grab lots of extras. After that i use how ever many ships is needed to take over a planet.
Next is to establish your cluster boarders. Do this with both your home and your pivot planet. Take a few outside planets in your cluster, but not all of them. People wont invade your cluster because they are afraid of being attacked too, and u get to use this against them. If its all one big cluster for u and another guy, send them a bit farther than u think u can. I can promise you that most of time they will not cross that boarder line. I normally am still using about 50% though this step.
Look at the people next to constantly. If they are moving fast, u better be too. If they are watching neighbors for an easy kill, go slow. Still go, but slow. Some times even tell them hi, it lets them know that u r watching them too, and they are less likely to move at u. Also, if you see a buddy next to u, odds are they wont kill u off. (Nanno still will, watch out for her) =)
If your not going to be attacked, switch to 100% and move one planet at a time capturing neutrals. Start with th big ones and go to the smaller ones.
NOTE: How many standoffs does Galcon have, and for how long are they? If u think u might be in a standoff soon, all planets above 15, maybe even 10, are good for taking, no matter the number of defenders.
Nothing good around you? Look at your neighbors! If they have no ships left, kill them and start from the top! Take their undefended planets and then move for the outside of the cluster, but watch your new neighbor, before and after you move. If he is well established, going somewhere else is a good idea, but if he is still moving fast and has neutrals that hes going for, green light, 100%.
If your that unlucky one stuck out in nowhere ville with neighbors being cautious and no where to go, the only option u have is to wait. Wait for someone to start fighting. Its about your only opportunity to take something. If theres no fighting, stir them up. Manipulate! (works well early game because most people dont think they watch good enough)
Now, what if you've got an average start, and 20 seconds into the game, that crazy noob next to you attacks? You have two options.
1. If hes far away (5 person round or less normally) go ahead and fight him off. Stop taking new planets and get ships ready. Send about 20 to his home planet and see if he turns around. If not, u get his home planet, and send those back immediately. You'll want them, trust me. Even with those ships your going to have to dance pretty fast. If he turns, now u have more time to make more ships. Easier fight. If you only have 20 ships, run. Hes probably got around 110 from his start. Make sure u can beat that once he gets there (Remember, u have have prod and he doesnt).
2. If hes close, you shouldnt be taking planets unless they are undefended or he just took an undefended one. If he attacks, simply defend. If your other neighbor attacks to take advantage of the noobicide, go for the 3rd players home planet. He will worry about the fist guy that attacked u, and u get his empties, and can sweep both of them if your lucky and have enough ships.
If there are any other scenarios you would like me to cover about the start off or your just confused, just post below. I'll look at them either later today or tomorrow.post updated on Mar 27, 2008 @ 3:34pm | | Re: Txgangsta's Strategies Revealved! :: Mar 27, 2008 @ 2:14am |

Read them a paragraph at a time. I just did different situations for each. Should i say, "Click on your home planet. Then put your mouse over the biggest nearby planet. Then click it. Then..."post updated on Mar 27, 2008 @ 3:31pm | | Re: Txgangsta's Strategies Revealved! :: Mar 27, 2008 @ 3:49pm |

I think they're perfect. Like you said earlier, dumbing it down for the cabin boy set won't help anyone. It had me looking at a few parts of my early game that I was neglecting. | | Re: Txgangsta's Strategies Revealved! :: Mar 27, 2008 @ 3:50pm |

I think they're perfect, was just messing with you, and going off the "confused newbie" thing. Like you said earlier, dumbing it down for the cabin boy set won't help anyone. It had me looking at a few parts of my early game that I was neglecting.
